A Short Stop in Limerick

A Short Stop in Limerick

Limerick was supposed to be an interesting place to stop for lunch, but we were so charmed with it, we had to stay awhile and take a look around.

We decided to stop in Limerick while making our way down to Killarney from Clifden. Once we got the car parked and began walking the edge of the River Shannon, we realized this wasn’t going to be a quick lunch stop. It was way to charming to just eat and run.

We didn’t spend a ton of time there, but enough to really enjoy this funky little college town. King John’s Castle is the big attraction in this area, but there’s also great street art, beautiful architecture, and many other old cool historic buildings nearby.

Limerick really is a town that deserves a multi-night visit.
